Loretta Abrams, AKA Lola, was a woman of “Advanced Style” all of her life. Her soul was nourished by the city she loved, NYC. She was beautiful, stylish, elegant, brave, outspoken, passionate, energetic, and hilariously funny. Born in New York City, she graduated from James Madison High School and attended courses at Brooklyn College. She dreamed of a career in Fashion or the Stage, but like most ladies of her generation, she yearned to be a wife and mother and she chose that path. She loved growing up at the beach in Coney Island Brooklyn. She loved her large family of relatives that got together every weekend to dance and sing and play and share in the Jewish traditions. She loved growing up in what she called an “Age of Innocence.” She loved romance. She loved to sing and dance. She loved world travel. She loved her parents. She loved her husband. She loved her children. She was a passionate collector of Art Deco & Modernist Antiques, Art, Vintage Clothing and Collectables. She was a treasure chest of knowledge about high culture and high society, couture fashion, home decor, art, music, theater, film and television. She embraced a late in life comedic acting career in CA and created her iconic “Lola Rose” Internet persona. She was a DIVA, with bold style, a feisty personality, sharp wit and humor, but she was best known for her glamour and her love of a great party! She made an indelible impression on everyone who met her. She drew people in and they loved her. She overcame many challenges, and she forged on never giving up. She was surrounded by love in her renewed life in FL. She was a bold bright spirit and the world will miss her special and unique life force. She is survived by her dear friend and former husband, Michael Abrams, her beloved daughters Eden and Jill Abrams, and her grandson Ethan Abrams (son of her late son Tod Abrams), her sister Alyce Luzzi, and countless others who were honored to call her their friend.
